- About BlueCloud BlueCloud is a data and AI consulting firm and Snowflake Elite Partner. We help enterprise clients modernize their data platforms, build analytics that drive decisions, and put AI and Generative AI into production on Snowflake. About the Role We are looking for a player-coach who can lead an analytics and data engineering team while staying hands-on as a Solutions Architect. You will own the architecture of Snowflake-based analytics and AI solutions for our clients, guide a team of engineers and consultants through delivery, and partner with Sales on scoping and winning new work. This role sits at the intersection of three disciplines: engineering leadership, business analytics, and solution architecture. You will spend part of your time designing and reviewing solutions, part leading and developing people, and part in front of client technical and executive stakeholders. What You'll Do Solution Architecture Design end-to-end data and analytics architectures on Snowflake, from ingestion and transformation to semantic layers, BI, and AI use cases Lead migrations from legacy platforms (Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server, Hadoop) to Snowflake, including assessment, strategy, and cutover planning Architect and oversee AI and GenAI solutions using Snowflake Cortex (Cortex AI, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search) and related tooling Set technical standards for data modeling, dbt development, performance, cost optimization, security, and governance Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex client challenges Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, BI Developers, and Consultants Run code and design reviews to maintain delivery quality and best practices Partner with Recruitment on sourcing, screening, and interviewing to grow the team Build career development plans and give regular, direct feedback Analytics & Client Delivery Translate business goals into analytics roadmaps, KPIs, and measurable outcomes Oversee delivery across concurrent engagements, managing scope, timelines, risks, and quality Serve as a trusted advisor to client technical leads and executives, presenting findings, recommendations, and solution designs Ensure dashboards, data products, and models are adopted and drive business decisions Pre-Sales & Practice Growth Support Sales and Account teams on pursuits: discovery, solution design, code assessments, estimation, and pricing Write and review Statements of Work and solution proposals Develop reusable accelerators, frameworks, and delivery methodologies Represent BlueCloud in client workshops, partner events, and Snowflake ecosystem activities What You Bring Required 12+ years in data engineering, analytics, or BI, including significant client-facing experience (consulting, pre-sales, or post-sales) 4+ years leading technical teams, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineers Deep hands-on Snowflake experience, including architecture, performance tuning, and cost management Expert SQL skills and working proficiency in Python Strong experience with dbt and modern data stack tools (Fivetran, Matillion, Airflow, or similar) Experience with legacy data warehouse platforms (Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server) and migration projects Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, or Looker Proven experience scoping projects, estimating effort, and writing SOWs Experience designing and delivering AI or GenAI use cases in an enterprise setting Excellent communication skills with both technical and executive audiences, from whiteboard sessions to formal presentations Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience Preferred Snowflake SnowPro Advanced: Architect or Data Engineer certification Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, or Streamlit in Snowflake Cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP Background in data governance, data quality, and semantic layer design Prior experience in a data consulting firm or Snowflake partner Industry exposure in financial services, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing What Success Looks Like Clients see measurable business outcomes from the solutions you architect Your team delivers on time, to a consistent quality standard, and grows in capability You are a go-to technical voice in pre-sales, helping convert opportunities into well-scoped engagements BlueCloud's delivery methods and accelerators improve because of your contributions
