- This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Accounting Manager (Payroll and Equity) in the United States. This role is a high-impact finance position focused on global payroll accounting and equity administration within a fast-growing, international environment. You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. The position also plays a key role in managing stock-based compensation and equity transactions through specialized systems. Working closely with external payroll providers, internal people operations, and legal teams, you will help maintain strong financial controls and scalable accounting processes. The environment is dynamic and detail-driven, requiring strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This is a remote role, ideally aligned with PST hours, offering the opportunity to contribute to a globally distributed, innovation-focused organization.
- Accountabilities Oversee global payroll accounting operations, including coordination with external payroll providers across regions such as the US, APAC, and EMEA. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of payroll-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. Manage payroll-related balances, including accruals, bonuses, commissions, taxes, and related financial reporting. Support payroll compliance processes, working with external providers to ensure adherence to local tax regulations and labor laws. Handle payroll funding processes, payments to employees, providers, and tax authorities, and respond to employee payroll-related inquiries. Administer global equity programs using Carta, including stock-based compensation accounting, reporting, and reconciliations. Partner with People Operations and Legal teams on equity transactions, disclosures, and annual valuation processes. Support audits and provide detailed financial analysis related to payroll and equity activities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. At least 7 years of experience in corporate accounting, including international payroll accounting and financial close processes. Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm preferred or strong exposure to internal controls and technical accounting standards. Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, and multi-entity international accounting environments. Hands-on experience managing external service providers and payroll systems in global contexts. Familiarity with equity management tools such as Carta and stock-based compensation accounting. Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong command of MS Office and Google Workspace tools. Experience with systems such as NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, ADP Workforce Now, Deel, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
