- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Advogado(a) Sênior em Contencioso Cível based in Brazil. This is a senior legal role focused on high-volume civil litigation and consumer-related matters. You will manage judicial and administrative cases from beginning to end, ensuring technical quality and adherence to deadlines. The position combines hands-on legal drafting with strategic discussions alongside clients and the legal team. You will also support consumer mediation and negotiation activities when needed. The role requires strong organization, agility, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple daily demands. You will work in a collaborative, technology-enabled legal environment with opportunities to contribute to strategic case management and client relationships. Professional English communication is an important part of the role.
- Accountabilities: The role is responsible for independently managing a high volume of civil litigation and administrative matters while maintaining strong technical standards, organization, and client communication. Manage judicial proceedings in JEC and JC courts and administrative proceedings before Procon, handling cases from initiation through completion. Draft a wide range of procedural documents, including defenses, appeals, motions, statements, and responses to official requests. Participate in discussions with clients and the legal team regarding procedural strategies and case management. Communicate professionally with clients in English by email, ensuring alignment on demands, updates, and relevant information. Prepare reports, conduct database reviews, and maintain internal systems and litigation controls accurately. Conduct consumer mediations and negotiations when required. Manage a high volume of cases and daily demands while maintaining quality, productivity, and deadlines. Collaborate closely with the team, demonstrating organization, initiative, agility, and resilience. Requirements The ideal candidate combines solid technical knowledge of civil and consumer law with practical experience managing high-volume litigation and strong communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Law with an active OAB registration. Intermediate to advanced English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure and Law No. 9.099/95. Previous experience in high-volume civil litigation. Practical experience handling consumer matters involving JEC, JC, and Procon. Proven experience drafting procedural documents and managing a large volume of cases. Experience with consumer mediation and negotiation. Familiarity with legal management, case-control tools, and internal systems. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organization, agility, teamwork, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Additional training in mediation, negotiation, or consumer law is desirable. Benefits Meal/food voucher (VR).
