Job Description

We’re supporting a high-visibility enterprise client in the middle of a major AI transformation. The client is investing heavily in workflow automation and agentic development to accelerate its software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role adds capacity to an existing developer already in place and joins a four-person delivery team. We’re looking for an Agentic Developer who builds agents in code that are used by many people across the organization, not local agents for personal productivity. You will turn business problems into production-ready, scalable AI solutions, and help make sure people actually adopt them.

This environment is fast-paced, highly visible, and requires someone who is proactive, technically strong, and confident operating in ambiguity. The right person will bring both builder energy and strong consulting instincts—they know how to create solutions, drive adoption, and communicate clearly with stakeholders across technical and business teams.

This opportunity is structured as a consulting role supporting a 3-month client project, with strong potential for extension based on performance and budget.

As an Agentic Developer (Consultant) for AG Consulting Partners, a typical day might include the following:

Build agents that scale

    • Design, build, and deploy agents in code that serve many users across enterprise functions
    • Build on Microsoft Foundry and Azure with production concerns included from the start: identity and access, observability, evaluation, guardrails, and cost control
    • Develop reusable agent and workflow templates that other teams can adopt and extend independently Design AI-driven solutions tailored to specific business processes and operational pain points

Deliver as part of the team

  • Work alongside the existing developer and the wider four-person team: shared repos in Azure DevOps, pull requests, code review, and Agile ceremonies
  • Test, validate, and stage deployments through CI/CD, using infrastructure as code
  • Translate stakeholder use cases into scalable automation strategies and production-ready solutions
  • Work side-by-side with client Dev and QA teams to refine and optimize agents

Drive adoption

  • Partner with change management and AI governance teams to ensure adoption readiness
  • Support pilot programs, user feedback loops, and continuous improvement
  • Help define support models, escalation paths, and post-go-live ownership
  • Communicate progress and trade-offs to technical leadership and executive stakeholders

This job is for you if:

You have

  • Shipped agents or LLM-powered applications to production that were used by many people, not only by you or your own team
  • Strong coding skills in Python and TypeScript
  • Hands-on Azure experience, including Azure DevOps (ADO) and Microsoft Foundry
  • Worked in an Agile team, with comfort in code review, shared repositories, and handoffs
  • The ability to build the solution and explain the “why” to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience creating technical documentation to help onboard new users with little or no experience using agents

It’s a plus if you also have

  • Infrastructure as code: Terraform (HCL) or Bicep
  • C#, JavaScript, or PowerShell
  • SharePoint, Power Automate, or Copilot Studio
  • Experience with agent evaluation, tool integrations (such as MCP), or multi-agent orchestration
