- Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. As a System Development Engineer, you will be responsible for integration, simulation, and test of state-of-the-art space borne phased array systems. You will work internally and cross-functionally with a multi-disciplinary team to improve test speed and data collection, perform root cause analysis, and correlate test data with end-to-end system level simulations. Key job responsibilities • Measure, validate, and perform root cause analysis on phased array systems and sub-systems • Interface with standard RF equipment to enable automation and efficient data collection • Create and/or modify new software features to enable testing of standard phased array system metrics such as EIRP, EVM, and G/T • Act as a liaison with the Leo software team to drive new product requirements based on RF system test needs • Perform end-to-end modeling, simulation, and analysis of digital phased array systems Export Control Requirement Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Basic Qualifications
- - Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline - Coursework in digital communication theory, digital signal processing, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas and Electromagnetic theory - Experience in DSP techniques, digital modulation, radio architecture, line-up analysis, RF system design - Coding and scripting skills with demonstrated experience in Matlab/Python/C++ - Experience with simulation tools such as SystemVue, ADS or LabView - Experience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment
