Job Description
- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Arquiteto Software based in Brazil. We are seeking a Software Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data and software solutions within a modern technology environment. In this role, you will define architectural standards for data pipelines, modeling, and integration across new and legacy systems. You will work extensively with Google Cloud Platform technologies, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and dbt, to build reliable data ingestion and transformation processes. The position also involves strengthening DevOps and DevSecOps practices, improving data governance, and ensuring security and performance across the platform. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and product stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and deliver business value. Additionally, you will explore AI and machine learning integrations while mentoring less experienced professionals and promoting technical excellence.
- Accountabilities Define and implement architectural standards for data pipelines, data modeling, and software integration across new and legacy systems. Design, develop, maintain, and optimize data ingestion and transformation pipelines using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, dbt, and orchestration tools such as Prefect. Establish and maintain DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, code reviews, and secure secrets management. Implement data governance and security controls using technologies and practices such as IAM, policy tags, Dataplex, and metadata management. Diagnose and resolve technical incidents, performance bottlenecks, architectural challenges, and technical debt to improve platform reliability and efficiency. Collaborate with engineering teams and product owners to plan sprints, prioritize deliverables, and align technical decisions with business objectives. Prototype, evaluate, and integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions into the data platform. Promote best practices in software architecture, data engineering, security, automation, and continuous delivery. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members, supporting knowledge sharing and professional development. Continuously assess emerging technologies and architectural approaches to improve scalability, maintainability, security, and operational performance. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, complemented by a postgraduate qualification in technology. Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development, performance tuning, and optimization. Strong programming experience with Python for data processing, automation, and integration. Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and modern data platform architectures. Practical knowledge of dbt for data transformation, modeling, and analytics engineering. Experience with Git and GitHub, including version control, collaborative development, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline implementation. Solid understanding of data modeling principles, data integration, and the architecture of data pipelines. Knowledge of software engineering best practices, deployment automation, and secure development methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and propose effective solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and product stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, make sound architectural decisions, and support the development of other professionals. Additional qualifications that would be an advantage: Experience with Prefect or other workflow orchestration platforms. Familiarity with Dataplex, Google Cloud Platform IAM, and cloud-based data governance practices. Knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC) and streaming technologies, including Debezium, Kafka, or Redpanda. Experience with Infisical or other secrets management solutions. Familiarity with AI and machine learning integration in data platforms. Experience working with complex enterprise environments involving legacy systems and modern cloud technologies.
