Your Career Opportunity
In this exciting new career opportunity, you’ll be reporting to the Financial Operations Director on full-time hours and working from home remotely.
As a Assistant Controller you’ll have a direct impact on the Group Finance function, being responsible for performing end-to-end accounting processes, including group cash forecasting and group sales commission payable workings. The Role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, strong financial controls, and reliable data to support effective decision-making across the business.
You will:
- Complete monthly revenue accruals in coordination with billing, CSM, and sales teams, and prepare deferred revenue calculations. Support audit and tax requirements related to revenue recognition and bookings.
- Manage cost bookings including supplier payments, trainer fees, payroll, and intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with procurement policy and accurate allocation to cost centres and accounts.
- Prepare monthly payroll journals based on inputs from payroll providers and support audit and tax compliance processes related to all payment activities.
- Ensure all Profit & Loss transactions are correctly recorded with appropriate accounting dimensions, and perform monthly trial balance reviews to identify and resolve unusual entries.
- Complete timely balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial reporting.
- Lead group cash forecasting on a weekly basis and support banking initiatives such as bank account rationalisation across regions.
- Own the quarterly sales commission calculation and reporting process at group level, managing complex commission structures and coordinating with sales, billing, and commercial stakeholders to ensure accuracy, transparency, and auditability.
What You'll Offer
- Fully qualified accountant (CA/ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 4–6 years of strong accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Advanced level of English
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (preferred) and exposure to fast-scaling or complex multi-entity environments.
- Strong background working in international, multi-currency group structures.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end accounting processes with a strong focus on accuracy and financial reporting.
- Systems mindset with a hands-on approach to operational delivery, combined with a proactive and resilient attitude, strong organisational and prioritisation skills, and excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
