This role sits at the core of building and scaling high-performance backend systems that power real-time, data-driven event technology used globally. You will design and develop robust Node.js services that handle large-scale data processing, integrations, and API-driven architectures. Working in a fast-paced product environment, you will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product teams, and designers to deliver seamless user experiences. The role involves building secure, efficient, and reusable backend components while continuously improving system performance and reliability. You will also contribute to technical decisions, architecture discussions, and best practices within the engineering team. • Accountabilities In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that support high-traffic applications and real-time event experiences. You will ensure system reliability, performance, and security while contributing to continuous product improvement and engineering excellence. Develop, test, and maintain efficient and reusable backend services using Node.js Design and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for seamless frontend and system integrations Optimize database interactions and ensure high-performance data processing across MongoDB and MySQL systems Implement security, authentication, and data protection best practices across backend services Collaborate with frontend and product teams to define technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions Write unit tests, maintain code quality standards, and participate in code reviews Document technical specifications, system designs, and development standards Stay updated with emerging Node.js technologies and contribute to architectural improvements Requirements The ideal candidate has strong backend engineering experience with Node.js and a solid understanding of scalable system design, APIs, and modern development practices.
