  • This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager, Skilled Trades based in United States. This remote role focuses on driving new business growth across the construction and skilled trades market, with a particular emphasis on electrical contractors. You will develop strategic relationships with large construction organizations, navigate complex sales cycles, and secure high-value accounts. The position combines business development, strategic account planning, pricing, contract negotiation, and implementation strategy. You will work closely with sales, operations, pricing, legal, and implementation teams to ensure new partnerships launch successfully. Success requires strong commercial judgment, industry knowledge, and the ability to engage senior decision-makers. The role offers significant autonomy while requiring travel of up to 50% to build and strengthen client relationships.
  • Accountabilities: Prospect and pursue targeted new construction accounts aligned with the strategic customer profile, particularly opportunities valued at $500K or more. Build relationships with senior decision-makers at construction and electrical contracting organizations and develop opportunities through the full sales cycle. Negotiate contract terms in partnership with internal contracts and legal teams. Collaborate with leadership, implementation teams, operations, and customers to develop effective launch and delivery strategies. Ensure new accounts are structured and established properly so field teams can service them efficiently. Partner with leadership and pricing teams to develop appropriate pricing and worker pay models that support attraction and retention while meeting gross margin expectations. Develop account implementation strategies that drive field-level sales activity and accelerate account penetration during the first year. Conduct quarterly business reviews and maintain strong long-term customer relationships. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. At least 7 years of related sales experience with senior-level decision-makers, including at least 5 years managing and selling strategic accounts. Strong understanding of the construction industry, ideally with experience in electrical trades and established relationships with major construction or electrical contractors. Previous experience in the staffing industry is highly preferred. Demonstrated success in new business development, strategic account retention, sales strategy, and RFP opportunities. Strong strategic planning, project management, organizational, and process improvement skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade diverse audiences. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across different levels of management and organizational functions. Ability to analyze problems, evaluate data, establish facts, draw sound conclusions, and make informed business decisions. Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Ability to work remotely while traveling to client locations, with travel of up to 50%; the role also requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Benefits: Annual salary of $80,000–$100,000, depending on experience and geographic location. Eligibility for incentive pay, subject to applicable plan terms.
