Job Description
M9 Solutions is seeking a Data Migration/ETL Engineer to work remotely in support of a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active Public Trust clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop ETL processes and data pipelines using approved schemas and non-proprietary data and software standards.
- Develop client-specific obfuscated datasets meeting data protection standards, and migrate them into non-production environments.
- Develop and execute data migration test cases and scripts validating completeness, accuracy, and go-live readiness.
- Execute migration dry runs in non-production, assess against minimum quality standards, and refine transformation logic.
- Perform data cleansing and mapping against client data standards.
- Support secure file-based ingestion (SFTP, encrypted transfer) from legacy systems.
- Execute production migration following approval; support reconciliation and post-migration audit.
- Contribute to data tables, data dictionary, and validation testing against the Golden Data Test Set.
- Support daily data migration status reporting during active migration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
- An active Public Trust level clearance is required.
- Undergraduate degree (Degree may be substituted with equivalent years of experience).
- 5 - 7 years of relevant experience; 2 years consulting preferred.
- Hands-on ETL development experience on enterprise-scale data migrations.
- Strong SQL and data transformation skills.
- Experience loading data into a cloud HCM or ERP platform.
- Experience with validation, reconciliation, and error handling at volume.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL) and HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader experience.
- Experience extracting from PeopleSoft HCM, Workday, or mainframe/COBOL HR systems.
- Federal HR data experience; familiarity with EHRI and federal records retention schedules.
- Experience handling large-volume PII under Privacy Act constraints.
