About the Role

As a Desktop Support Engineer II, Executive Technical Support, you will deliver exceptional, high-touch technology support to executive leaders and key stakeholders, ensuring they can operate seamlessly and securely every day. This role combines executive-facing technical support with ownership of workplace technology, including audio/visual solutions and office technology systems. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise, discretion, professionalism, and a commitment to providing an outstanding user experience in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver responsive technical support to executives through both remote and on-site channels, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and data privacy.
  • Provide flexible coverage across standard and extended business hours, including scheduled on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed.
  • Offer on-site presence for board meetings, all-hands, conferences, and other high-visibility events, including technology setup and standby coverage for the duration.
  • Manage audio/visual setup and troubleshooting for executive presentations and video conferencing.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and monitoring of executive technology systems, including daily equipment checks, meeting preparation, and system health reviews.
  • Maintain and repair executive hardware including computers, printers, mobile devices, and A/V equipment.
  • Image, configure, and deploy new executive devices and manage application rollouts and patching through Jamf and Intune.
  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new executive staff.
  • Support executive home office setups and provide remote troubleshooting while executives are traveling, including across time zones.
  • Own executive incidents end to end, coordinating escalation with network, security, and application teams until resolution rather than handing off.
  • Follow established ITSM/ITIL processes and maintain accurate documentation of all support activities.
  • Manage and prioritize spare-equipment inventory so executive technology needs are anticipated and met.

Technologies You'll Work With

  • Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android platforms
  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive)
  • Microsoft Azure and Entra ID
  • Exchange Online
  • Jamf
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Zoom and Zoom Webinars
  • Active Directory
  • VPN, MFA, and remote access tools
  • Audio/visual and video conferencing technologies
  • Enterprise ITSM ticketing systems

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years in desktop or end-user support, including at least 5 years dedicated to C-level executives and their assistants.
  • Proven expertise supporting mixed computing environments across Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure including Active Directory, networking, and server technologies.
  • Deep proficiency with Microsoft 365 — Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive — including calendar and mailbox troubleshooting for heavily scheduled executives.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise ITSM ticketing systems.
  • Required: hands-on administration experience with Zoom and Zoom Webinars for large-scale executive events, Microsoft Azure and Entra ID, Exchange Online, and endpoint management through Jamf and Microsoft Intune — candidates must be able to demonstrate working proficiency in each.
  • Working knowledge of VPN, MFA, and remote access tooling, and of the enhanced security policies typically applied to executive accounts and devices.

Bonus Skills

  • Proficiency in audio/visual technology setup, troubleshooting, and support for conference rooms and presentation spaces.
  • Experience with installation, cabling, and maintenance of office technology equipment.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience supporting executives in a global or multi-site organization.
  • Familiarity with executive travel support, including remote troubleshooting across time zones.
  • Outstanding customer service orientation with polished communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a persistent, solution-focused mindset.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills suitable for executive-level interactions.
  • Calm demeanor and methodical approach when managing high-pressure or sensitive support situations.
  • Demonstrated discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
