Job Description
Role Overview
Our Infrastructure team is responsible for the platform that powers everything we build. From cloud infrastructure and site reliability to security, this team ensures our platform is scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-efficient as we continue to grow. You'll lead a senior, highly technical team that partners closely with Engineering, Product, and Customer teams to build the operational foundation that enables the rest of the company to move quickly and confidently.
As our Director of Infrastructure, you'll own both our Infrastructure/SRE and Security functions while helping shape the long-term technical strategy for the platform. This is an opportunity for a leader who enjoys building teams, improving engineering execution, and remaining technically engaged without needing to be the primary architect or hands-on contributor.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead and grow the Infrastructure organization, overseeing both our SRE/Infrastructure and Security teams while fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
- Partner with senior technical leaders to evolve our cloud infrastructure, improving platform reliability, scalability, developer productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Drive the team's roadmap and execution, proactively identifying opportunities to mature processes, improve delivery, and reduce operational risk.
- Represent the Infrastructure organization with executive leadership and customers, serving as a trusted technical leader internally and externally.
- Remain technically engaged by reviewing architecture, providing technical guidance, and occasionally contributing code when appropriate.
Who We Hope You Are:
- 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years leading high-performing infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps engineering teams.
- Experience managing senior and Staff-level engineers while creating an environment where experienced technical leaders can thrive.
- Strong background building and operating cloud infrastructure for B2B enterprise SaaS products, ideally within high-growth startup environments.
- Able to balance strategic leadership with technical credibility, including participating in architectural reviews and technical discussions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across engineering, executive leadership, and customer-facing teams.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience leading both Infrastructure and Security organizations.
- Experience scaling engineering teams through periods of rapid company growth.
- Proven success driving cloud cost optimization initiatives while improving platform reliability and performance.
- Experience building operational excellence through improved engineering processes, incident management, and reliability practices.
$250,000 - $275,000 a year
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Total compensation package includes stock options, benefits, and additional perks.
