Job Description
- This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Billing & Revenue Operations in the United States. This role sits at the critical intersection of Finance, Operations, and Technology, ensuring that complex logistics and fulfillment services are accurately translated into reliable, scalable billing and revenue processes. The Director will own end-to-end revenue capture across a high-volume 3PL environment, driving accuracy in invoicing, revenue recognition, and cash flow visibility. Acting as both a strategic leader and technical operator, this individual will partner closely with Engineering, Data, Finance, and Customer-facing teams to improve systems, eliminate revenue leakage, and enhance operational efficiency. The role requires deep analytical capability, strong systems thinking, and the ability to convert complex contractual and operational data into structured financial outcomes. It is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, data-intensive environments and wants to shape scalable revenue infrastructure at scale.
- Accountabilities: Own the full end-to-end billing lifecycle across parcel and fulfillment services, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely invoicing aligned with client contracts. Translate complex commercial agreements into scalable billing rules, configurations, and automated workflows across multiple systems. Partner with Engineering and Data teams to design, optimize, and automate billing logic, integrations, and underlying data architecture. Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with applicable standards (including ASC 606) and support month-end close processes with Accounting. Drive margin analysis by customer and service line, identifying revenue leakage, pricing gaps, and cost inefficiencies. Oversee accounts receivable processes, including cash application, collections, DSO improvement, and cash forecasting. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure contract-to-cash alignment and resolve billing issues. Maintain strong internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance across billing, revenue, and tax processes. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in revenue operations, billing, finance, or related fields, ideally within logistics, 3PL, SaaS, or high-volume transaction environments. Strong expertise in complex billing models such as usage-based, contract-driven, and multi-service pricing structures. Proven ability to work with data systems and understand end-to-end data flows across ERP, WMS, TMS, and billing platforms. Experience collaborating with Engineering or Data teams to build scalable, automated operational processes. Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606); exposure to software revenue models is a plus. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong ability to identify root causes and resolve discrepancies. Hands-on experience managing accounts receivable, collections, and cash application processes. High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and ability to operate in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. Benefits: Competitive compensation package aligned with senior leadership responsibilities. Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage. Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid or remote options depending on role alignment. Opportunity to work in a high-growth, innovation-driven environment. Exposure to advanced logistics technology, data systems, and automation initiatives. Career growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling global organization. Collaborative, cross-functional culture with strong focus on impact and ownership.
