Role Description:
As the Business Suite Product Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution for the Veracross Business Suite in Australia and New Zealand — the finance and accounting backbone used by independent K–12 schools to manage their general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, budgeting, and financial reporting. Based in Australia, you will work closely with Australian and New Zealand schools, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, user-centric financial solutions that meet the needs of school business offices in the ANZ region and beyond.
About the Team:
The Integrated Business Suite Team is responsible for all Veracross financial solutions, included in the Business Suite; tuition billing, student payments, accounts receivable, general ledger, and other school finance workflows. The team is composed of fintech, accounting, and payments experts who work to simplify and optimize business office operations for independent schools across Australia, New Zealand, and globally.

- Define and prioritize the product roadmap and requirements through market research and customer discovery, with a particular focus on the Australian and New Zealand market
- Collaborate with UX, engineering, and business teams to deliver intuitive, compliant, and scalable accounting and finance features
- Analyse and respond to stakeholder feedback, usage data, and business metrics to guide product decisions
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), GST, BAS reporting, ATO requirements, and other relevant regulatory frameworks
- Optimize the user experience for school business offices managing day-to-day finance operations
- Track KPIs, report on product performance, and adapt strategy based on measurable impact
- Support customer success, GTM, and support teams with training, enablement, and documentation
- Drive continuous improvement across financial workflows, integrations, and automation
Qualifiications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; OR equivalent experience
- CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification preferred but NOT essential.
- Product management experience or equivalent, including at least 7+ years managing financial, accounting, or ERP products
- Hands-on experience with general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, or financial reporting platforms
- Strong understanding of the SaaS product development lifecycle
- Experience with ERP or financial systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Blackbaud, or similar platforms)
- Working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and tax/regulatory requirements including GST and BAS
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
- Analytical mindset with a focus on measurable product outcomes
- Passion for improving the education experience for schools and families
Bonus Points:
- Experience working in a K–12 school business office or with independent schools in Australia or New Zealand
- Familiarity with student billing, family engagement, or financial aid platforms
- Background in fintech, payment processing, or compliance
- Knowledge of multi-currency accounting and cross-border transactions
- Experience with machine learning and automation in finance or accounting workflows
