Job Description

Prominence is looking for a senior Epic Grand Central analyst to support a California based health system for a one-year engagement. Reporting to the Application Manager, you'll own Charge RTE and Prelude build; delivering new requests, optimizing current workflows, and advising on integration projects across the health system.

You'll troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize existing applications, and design, build, test, and support new applications and modules within your portfolio. Success requires deep knowledge of the Epic application and the operational workflows it supports, plus a clear grasp of the policies, procedures, and constraints of the business areas you serve.

As a member of our Epic Consulting team, you’ll work closely with our customers to implement and optimize their Epic workflows. In addition to your Epic project work, you will help mentor and grow our customer’s teams, escalate issues, and guide projects to a successful outcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, and maintain Epic Grand Central and Prelude, with a focus on Charge RTE (real-time eligibility) workflows
  • Analyze and implement new build requests from business owners and operational stakeholders
  • Identify and deliver optimizations to existing registration, ADT, and eligibility workflows
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incident and service request tickets within agreed service levels
  • Provide input and build support for integration projects across the health system
  • Design, build, and test new functionality, including unit and integrated testing and documentation
  • Support Epic upgrades, including impact review, build, testing, and validation
  • Provide go-live support, including at-the-elbow and command center coverage as needed
  • Participate in the on-call rotation (one week in every seven) and provide after-hours support as needed
  • Partner with business owners, Epic, and other IS team members to evaluate and recommend solutions to complex problems and requests
  • Follow organizational policies, change control, and documentation standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Current Epic Grand Central certification
  • Current Epic Prelude certification
  • At least 4 years of experience as an Epic Grand Central/Prelude analyst
  • Hands-on build experience across tickets, projects, upgrades, and go-lives

Preferred

  • Epic RTE (Real-Time Eligibility) certification
  • Experience with Charge RTE build and payer eligibility workflows
  • Experience supporting integration projects in a multi-hospital health system
  • Strong communication skills with clinical, revenue cycle, and technical stakeholders
