From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. We're looking for a Maintenance Manager with a proven track record of delivering equipment uptime, reliability, and excellent maintenance execution in a high-tech manufacturing environment. This position will lead and direct production maintenance operations at SEA99 and satellite shipping systems at DWS5, ensuring maximum equipment availability and performance through disciplined preventive/predictive maintenance programs, rigorous metric tracking, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced production setting and brings a hands-on leadership style focused on team development, operational consistency, and driving results. Key job responsibilities -Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment reliability and minimize production downtime -Lead maintenance supervisors, engineers, leads, and technicians in troubleshooting complex equipment issues and implementing sustainable solutions -Establish and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs -Drive root cause analysis programs and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures -Optimize spare parts inventory management and maintenance resource allocation -Develop and track maintenance KPIs including MTTR, MTBF, and OEE -Create and manage maintenance budgets including labor, parts, and contractor costs (CAPEX and OPEX) -Partner with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules -Lead maintenance improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs -Develop and maintain SOPs, JHAs, and task lists for all maintenance activities -Manage third-party vendor relationships and service contracts -Ensure compliance with safety protocols including LOTO, arc flash, and confined space programs -Own maintenance of gator cage satellite shipping systems at DWS5 as the sole LMG presence at that site -Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports for leadership review (WBR/MBR) -Track and analyze maintenance metrics on a weekly and monthly cadence to identify trends, drive accountability, and inform resource decisions Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Basic Qualifications
  • - Experience in vendor management - Minimum 5+ years of experience in critical Electrical and Mechanical maintenance, critical infrastructure and/or manufacturing maintenance with progressive leadership responsibility - 2+ years of experience directly supervising or leading technical maintenance teams - Demonstrated career progression showing increasing scope, team size, and operational ownership - Strong background in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles and leading RCFA investigations - Experience with CMMS implementation, and maintenance planning tools - Proven track record of implementing successful maintenance improvement programs - Experience with weekly and monthly metric reporting, including building dashboards and tracking KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, OEE, PM compliance, equipment availability) - Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems - Knowledge of safety systems and lock-out/tag-out procedures - Strong project management and planning abilities - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Ability to access equipment in various positions (climbing, bending, reaching) - Capability to respond to emergency maintenance situations - Must be able to wear required PPE
