Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Connect and disconnect electrical, pneumatic, and network cabling to facilitate printer mobility with minimal supervision.

Independently troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues on the printers and related systems.

Update ticketing system with accurate documentation of troubleshooting steps, replacements, and maintenance performed.

Build strong relationships with Print Operators to ensure smooth project execution and determine root causes of recurring issues.
-
Lead the coordination of complex tasks while ensuring team safety and efficiency.
-
Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to reduce downtime and maintain printer performance.

Regularly monitor printer data to identify potential issues and proactively address them.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-
1+ year(s) years as a Field Technician or equivalent experience in a technical, hands-on role.
-
Certifications: OSHA 10, CPR, heavy equipment (all provided by ICON).
-
Ability to read wiring diagrams and terminate cables (e.g., camlock power, EtherCAT cables).
-
Strong communication and documentation skills.
-
Able to foresee potential issues and guide others in mitigating them.
-
High Level: Can plan ahead and mitigate issues before they occur. Ex: Directing/ helping others through a troubleshooting / issue prevention scenario.
-
Ability to prioritize, adapt, and work under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
-
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
-
Advanced proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and electrical troubleshooting, including equipment replacement and manual controls.

Proficiency in remote device operation and system navigation.
-
Documenting issues found and communicating to another team member, shift hand off.
-
Process oriented: follow SOPs, workflows and team instructions.

Experience in different types of welding
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
Must be prepared to work, in part, in extreme environments: temps > 100 degrees or below freezing, sun, rain, mud, lack of electricity, etc.
-
Willingness to travel outside of Austin, TX, for extended periods and work on-call, nights, and weekends.
-
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Strong verbal and written communications skills
