  • Finance Analyst supporting Amazon's 1P Lending business in India, responsible for financial planning, forecasting, and controllership activities. The role involves building and maintaining P&L models, supporting month-end close and reconciliation, preparing variance analyses, and contributing to governance mechanisms such as Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and Monthly Financial Reviews (MFRs). The analyst will partner with Risk, Product, Accounting, and Compliance teams to ensure data accuracy and deliver actionable insights. This is an entry-level role suited for recently qualified Chartered Accountants or Finance/Accounting graduates with 0–2 years of experience, good Excel skills, and attention to detail. Key job responsibilities Financial Planning & Forecasting: Build and maintain P&L models for the 1P Lending business, including revenue, cost of funds, and credit loss estimates; support monthly and quarterly planning cycles with forecasts and variance analyses. Controllership & Month-End Close: Assist with reconciliation of lending financials, intercompany entries, and reporting of key metrics such as Net Interest Margin, Assets Under Management, and Operating Profit. Business Partnership: Collaborate with Risk, Product, Accounting, and Compliance teams to deliver data-driven insights and support decision-making across the lending portfolio. Governance & Reporting: Contribute to recurring governance mechanisms including Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and Monthly Financial Reviews (MFRs) to ensure leadership visibility into lending performance. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to simplify and automate financial reporting and planning workflows, driving efficiency and accuracy.
Basic Qualifications
  • - 1+ years of finance experience - 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience - 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills - Experience using data to influence business decisions - Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
