Job Description

Our Social Media Strategy team plays a critical role in helping pharma and biotech brands show up meaningfully across digital channels. They lead channel, content, and activation strategies at scale—across both established and emerging platforms. This team lives and breathes social, staying closely attuned to trends in news and culture and knowing how to respond in a way that feels relevant and impactful. They’re creative storytellers who move quickly, think strategically, and genuinely enjoy the work they do.

At Real Chemistry, we’re always looking to connect with exceptional experienced social strategists (Senior Manager through Director level) who are passionate about healthcare, deeply fluent in social ecosystems, and thrive in a fast-paced agency environment.

We operate in a hybrid model, with offices in New York City, Boston, Lambertville, Chicago, San Francisco, and Carmel. We are also open to remote candidates. For some roles, travel or close proximity to a client location may be required, which will be discussed throughout the interview process.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop of social media strategies across multiple pharma/biotech clients, spanning HCP, patient, and corporate audiences
  • Partner cross-functionally with account, creative, medical, and analytics teams to deliver integrated, insight-driven programs
  • Translate brand objectives, clinical data, and regulatory considerations into channel-specific, audience-first social approaches
  • Oversee always-on content strategies, campaign activations, and real-time engagement planning
  • Provide strategic guidance on platform selection, channel roles, and content ecosystems (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, emerging platforms)
  • Ensure all strategies are grounded in data, insights, and performance optimization
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting recommendations with clarity and confidence
  • Navigate and uphold pharma compliance, MLR processes, and regulatory constraints in social execution
  • Contribute to new business and organic growth, including pitch development and thought leadership
  • Mentor and develop junior strategists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Who You Should Have

  • Proven experience leading multi-channel social strategies for pharma or biotech clients
  • Deep understanding of regulated environments (MLR, FDA guidance, adverse event reporting)
  • Experience working across multiple accounts simultaneously in an agency setting
  • Strong command of social platforms and ecosystems, including best practices by channel and audience (HCP vs. consumer)
  • Expertise in content strategy, editorial planning, and campaign development
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform strategy and optimize performance
  • Strong storytelling skills—able to simplify complex scientific information into engaging social narratives
  • Confidence in client-facing situations, including presenting and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen with experience contributing to account growth and new business efforts
  • Familiarity with social listening tools, publishing platforms, and performance dashboards
  • Passionate about social media, digital innovation, and emerging platforms
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving agency environment
  • Highly collaborative and able to build strong cross-functional relationships
