As part of a collaborative cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure team, you will play a key role in protecting Azure and hybrid enterprise systems through security engineering, compliance support, and continuous monitoring activities. You will work closely with cloud architects, platform engineers, and compliance teams to ensure systems meet evolving cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.   • Accountabilities: Implement, maintain, and evaluate security controls across Azure and hybrid enterprise environments in alignment with cybersecurity standards and organizational policies. Support security authorization and compliance activities by preparing, reviewing, and maintaining required security documentation and assessment artifacts. Conduct vulnerability assessments, security control validations, and risk analyses across systems, platforms, and cloud environments. Monitor system security posture and coordinate remediation efforts with engineering and operations teams to address vulnerabilities and compliance findings. Provide cybersecurity and information assurance guidance during deployments, upgrades, and system modifications to maintain secure and compliant operations. Support incident response activities including event analysis, containment coordination, remediation support, and post-incident reviews. Review system configurations, architectures, and operational procedures to identify security gaps and recommend mitigation strategies. Assist with continuous monitoring efforts, including security log reviews, alert analysis, and ongoing compliance tracking. Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews by providing technical expertise, evidence collection, and remediation tracking. Maintain Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M), remediation records, and other security documentation required for ongoing governance. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or security engineering roles. Strong experience securing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments and hybrid cloud infrastructures. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification or higher required. Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT-II compliance requirements (e.g., Security+, SSCP, GSEC, or equivalent certifications). Active Secret security clearance required. Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance frameworks, RMF processes, and regulated government or defense environments. Experience with vulnerability management, security assessments, risk analysis, and continuous monitoring practices. Knowledge of secure cloud architecture principles including identity management, segmentation, logging, and monitoring. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills in cross-functional technical environments.
