- This role will serve as the central coordination hub between China-based suppliers, testing labs, and the US and China engineering teams for all adhesive characterization activities. The coordinator will be responsible for driving end-to-end project execution, ensuring cross-functional alignment across geographies and time zones, and delivering timely results to support NTI and NPI programs. Key job responsibilities Project Management: Own and manage the end-to-end project plan for adhesive characterization activities, encompassing scope definition, timeline development, milestone tracking, resource allocation, and risk management. Supplier and Lab Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with China-based suppliers, Contract Manufactures (CMs), and external testing labs; coordinate raw material procurement, sample fabrication at molding house or supplier facility, coupon assembly at CM and Amazon labs. US Team Interface: Partner closely with Product Design Technical Program Managers, and cross-functional engineering teams (Material Technical Specialists (MTS), Structural Design Integrity (SDI), and Manufacturing Process Engineering (MPE), etc…) to translate build instructions into actionable plans. Align on material requirements, including types, vendors, surface treatments, and specifications to ensure deliverables meet program needs; Cross-Functional Meeting Facilitation: Host and facilitate regular cross-functional team meetings (daily stand-ups and/or weekly syncs) with all stakeholders across time zones to maintain alignment and resolve blockers. Progress Tracking & Reporting: Maintain detailed progress dashboards; provide daily/weekly status updates to PD TPM/PD/MTS/Product Integrity (PI) and program leadership. Communicate task completion status, risks, issues, and action items with clarity and precision. Travel (Domestic & International): Travel domestically within China to supplier sites and testing labs as needed to oversee builds, inspect samples, and ensure quality standard. Travel internationally to US sites (Sunnyvale), Vietnam, or other locations periodically for face-to-face alignment meetings, program reviews, and workshop sessions with PD TPM/PD/MTS/PI and engineering stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels - Project Management: 1+ years managing cross-functional, multi-geo projects. Able to build project plans, define milestones, and drive accountability. - Supply Chain / Vendor Coordination: 1+ years’ experience coordinating with suppliers (e.g. CMs, molding houses, or external test labs) in HW product development.
Preferred Qualifications
- - 3+ years of Quality Assurance/testing domain experience - Project Management: 2+ years managing cross-functional, multi-geo projects in consumer electronics/ hardware/ manufacturing. Able to build project plans, define milestones, and drive accountability. - Supply Chain / 2+ years’ experience coordinating with suppliers (e.g. CMs, molding houses, or external test labs) in HW product development. - Familiar with supplier qualification, sample procurement, and build coordination. - Technical Domain: Working knowledge of adhesive bonding, surface prep, material characterization or failure analysis.
