Job Description
About Pelago
Pelago is a nationwide specialty substance use care provider delivering proven, validated clinical and financial outcomes across the full spectrum of substance use — from risky use through crisis-level addiction. We're building the behavioral health system that works for everyone, powered by an exceptional care team and AI-native infrastructure.
About the Role
We're hiring Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) to join Pelago's Behavioral Addictions program. You'll provide CBT-based telehealth treatment to members with behavioral health conditions, as part of a structured, evidence-based care model.
You'll carry a caseload of members, conduct clinical assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based care. You'll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven clinical team.
What You'll Do
- Conduct structured clinical intakes and assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based frameworks
- Deliver CBT and Motivational Interviewing within a structured treatment model
- Monitor member outcomes using validated clinical measures
- Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with Pelago standards
- Screen for co-occurring conditions and coordinate care transitions when indicated
- Participate in clinical supervision and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Contribute to program development as the Behavioral Addictions program grows
What We're Looking For
- Active LPC or LCSW license in good standing
- Licensure in multiple states strongly preferred; LPC compact licensure is a significant advantage
- Clinical experience with behavioral health conditions, including eating disorders, impulse control disorders, or substance use — or strong interest in specializing in behavioral addictions
- Competency in CBT; experience with Motivational Interviewing preferred
- Comfortable with structured assessment tools and outcome monitoring
- Strong written communication for documentation and treatment planning
- Ability to manage a telehealth caseload independently while collaborating with a distributed clinical team
Bonus Points
- Active LPC compact licensure
- Licensure in Illinois
- Clinical experience with behavioral addictions or impulse control disorders
- Familiarity with validated behavioral health outcome measures
- Background in telehealth or digital health platforms
Why Pelago
- Evidence-based, structured clinical model with real outcome measurement
- Mission-driven work: serving members who have rarely had access to quality care for these conditions
- Remote-first, flexible schedule
- Competitive compensation and benefits
- Supervision and ongoing professional development
