Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Surveyor to support our surveying services through a combination of fieldwork, technical expertise, quality control, and project coordination. This dual field/office position includes hands-on surveying, reviewing and sealing plats, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and other survey documents, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and quality standards.

Fieldwork will primarily be performed throughout Wisconsin, with occasional travel, including overnight stays, to neighboring states. Office responsibilities can be completed remotely, with the option to work from our Madison, WI office in a hybrid or onsite capacity.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors year-round in a variety of weather and site conditions. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and CAD staff to deliver accurate, efficient survey solutions that support client and project needs. The position also offers opportunities to contribute to process improvements and the implementation of emerging survey technologies, automation tools, and data collection methods that enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Progressive experience in land surveying, including managing field-to-finish workflows.
  • Experience developing and reviewing plats, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and similar regulated survey documents.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Reside in Wisconsin or be willing to relocate to Wisconsin.
  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and set corners or stakes with a large hammer.
  • Able to work outdoors year-round in all weather and challenging site conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Wisconsin surveyor license, or the ability to obtain licensure in Wisconsin within 1 year.
  • Experience with Trimble R12i and AutoCAD Civil3D.
