Medical Customer Service Representative (Bilingual English/Spanish, Patient Support – Remote, U.S. Hours)
About the Role
We’re hiring a Medical Customer Service Representative to support patients through appointments, inquiries, and service coordination in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This is a patient-facing role where you’ll handle phone, email, and chat support, ensuring every interaction is clear, accurate, and compassionate.
If you’re fluent in English and Spanish, detail-oriented, and experienced in customer support or healthcare environments, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Patient Support & Communication
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and chat
- Provide accurate information on:
- Appointments and scheduling
- Medical services
- Insurance and billing inquiries
- Deliver a professional, empathetic, and patient-first experience
Issue Resolution & Coordination
- Troubleshoot service or platform-related issues
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve patient concerns
- Escalate complex cases while maintaining clear communication
CRM, Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems
- Ensure documentation meets quality and compliance standards
- Follow strict patient confidentiality and data security protocols
Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Communicate with team members to improve workflows
- Participate in training and development programs
- Adapt to new tools, processes, and patient needs
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (healthcare preferred)
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
- High school diploma required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
- Experience using:
- CRM systems
- Communication tools (Slack, Zoom)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
- Comfortable working remote during U.S. hours (LATAM-friendly)
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare, patient services, or medical support
- Familiarity with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, or billing
