Partner Marketing
Job Description
About Gigs
At Gigs, we're building the operating system for mobile services—a platform that lets tech companies embed global connectivity into their products effortlessly.
Just as Stripe lets any business add a payment button in seconds, Gigs empowers platforms to weave in connectivity—bridging the traditional world of telecom with modern tech. From fintechs launching mobile services to HR platforms offering work phone plans, we automate provisioning and remove telecom complexity.
Our team of around 150 people across the US and Europe, backed by nearly $100 million in funding from Ribbit Capital, Google, and Y Combinator. As one of the fastest-growing tech companies, bringing together early-stage engineers, product builders, and business athletes from companies like Stripe, Airbnb, and Shopify. We’re tackling deep technical and regulatory challenges to make connectivity truly seamless.
If you’re driven by curiosity, creativity, and the chance to shape the future of telecom, we’d love to hear from you.
Things We Care About
We are building in a highly complex space and tackling a massive problem. We want people who lean in when things get hard.
- Speed. We move and we ship. We set bold deadlines and treat every week like it matters.
- Ownership. If you see something broken, fix it. We don't wait for permission.
- Customer Obsession. Our customers' product is our product.
- Ambiguity. We're building frontier technology in a complex domain. You'll need sound judgement and good instincts to make decisions without complete information.
- First principles. We don't ask how things have been done before. We ask why they were done that way at all.
The Role
Gigs signed several major partners this summer, and each one needs someone on the ground to turn the contract into customers. That someone is you.
You'll report to our Head of Marketing and own partner marketing for one market. Your partners include banks, fintechs, retailers and the carriers that supply local lines. In France we're building a launch around a carrier and the first banks and platforms to go live. Brazil has a few very large banks and a phone market that works differently from the US.
Partners run their own apps, calendars and budgets. You get them to spend on Gigs by showing up with a clearer view of what works than they have, and by getting commitments written into the contract before launch. The best time to shape a partner’s marketing plan is before launch, so you’ll be involved early in the deal.
Nobody has done this job at Gigs in your market yet. We want a new kind of partner marketer for it: local, close to consumers, and happy to build things with their own hands. You'll do it from scratch, and quickly.
What You Will Do
- Own partner go-to-market. Once a partner integrates, the launch plan, joint calendar, local positioning, budget and results are yours. You also review the creative. You decide what gets made and why.
- Get marketing into the deal early. Our best leverage comes before signing. You research prospective partners and give a view on whether they'll work. Channels, user reach, lifecycle emails and promo budgets get written into the contract at that stage.
- Use the partner's own surfaces. In-app placement, push notifications, deep links and rewards programs move attach rate. You find the ones that matter for each partner and persuade them to use those.
- Run MDF like an investor. We co-fund a promo only when it brings in new activity, and the partner pays for paid media alongside it. Money is released as milestones are hit. You work with our analytics lead on pre/post and A/B tests so we never pay for sales that would have happened anyway.
- Adapt the story to your market. A message that lands in New York can fall flat in Paris, London or São Paulo. You decide what carries over and what gets rebuilt. AI can draft, and a native speaker reviews anything going to a wide audience.
- Be the local voice. You work with PR agencies, local press and podcasts to get the Gigs and partner story out. Carrier launches need legal, comms and compliance sign-offs that can take weeks, so you plan early.
- Build the playbook for smaller partners. Our biggest partners get a proactive strategy from you. Everyone else gets help on request or a self-serve library covering promotions, social, paid and affiliate, and you help write it.
- Work with the rest of Gigs. Sales, Partner Success, Product and Design all touch the partner story, as do partner marketers in the US and UK. You keep the story consistent, send local learnings back to the global playbook, and use the intake process so requests arrive scoped.
- Report on results. Each week you update our growth levers tracker with campaign status and incremental ARR. You carry your share of the marketing incremental ARR target.
- Use AI daily. It speeds up your drafting and research. You'll also help shape how Gigs and our partners show up in LLMs and other AI-driven channels.
- Prepare for APAC. As we move into Asia, you turn what works in your market into toolkits that regional leads can pick up.
What We Are Looking For
- Selling through partners. You know how to move people you don't manage, such as a bank's marketing head or a carrier's comms team. You're strong before the deal, when positioning and the marketing case get set, and after it, when activation happens. This is the heart of the role.
- A consumer marketer's instincts. Audience research, lifecycle, CRM, push and in-app messaging are second nature. You know LTV, attach rate, ROAS and incrementality cold. Telco experience is a bonus, and we teach the model. People with a B2B2C background are rare, so consumer subscription, payments and marketplace candidates do well here.
- Roots in your market. Native French or Portuguese, strong English. You know the local press, the carriers and the banks. You can tell when a message needs translating and when it needs rewriting.
- Zero-to-one experience. No playbook, no team and no templates existed, and you built the thing anyway. You write the brief and ship the asset yourself. A team may come later.
- Commercial sense. You understand co-funding, milestone-based spend and the limits of attribution. A revenue play, where co-funding makes sense, looks different to you from a loyalty play, where the partner should pay. We judge this role on your judgment and partner instinct more than on dashboards.
- Daily AI use. It makes you faster and more creative, and you know which output needs a human reviewer.
- Startup or agency background. Fintech, payments, marketplaces and consumer subscriptions all translate well. High-growth experience helps.
Bonus points for experience with carriers, eSIM or travel products, merchant-led programs like Apple Pay, or partner programs at a scale-up. Time spent watching a global brand adapt across Latin America, Europe or Asia helps too.
