About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal with strong knowledge of Texas law and court procedures to join our client's growing legal team. In this role, you will work directly alongside attorneys to manage a high-volume caseload from intake through resolution, providing critical legal and administrative support at every stage of the personal injury process.

This is a fully remote, full-time position ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their caseload, and has a deep understanding of Texas-specific personal injury litigation, insurance practices, and court filing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management & File Organization

  • Manage and maintain a large portfolio of active personal injury files from opening through settlement or trial
  • Draft, organize, and maintain case timelines, legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
  • Monitor deadlines including statutes of limitations, discovery deadlines, and court-imposed schedules
  • Ensure all case files are complete, current, and properly organized in the case management system
  • Prepare detailed case summaries and status updates for supervising attorneys

Legal Document Drafting & Review

  • Draft, proofread, and finalize a wide range of legal documents including petitions, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and orders
  • Prepare demand letters, settlement agreements, and release documents under attorney supervision
  • Review and summarize medical records, accident reports, expert reports, and deposition transcripts
  • Assist in drafting mediation summaries and trial preparation materials

Discovery & Litigation Support

  • Manage the full discovery process: draft and respond to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions
  • Organize and index exhibits, evidence, and deposition transcripts
  • Coordinate and track expert witnesses, including scheduling and document preparation
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation: organize trial binders, prepare exhibit lists, and coordinate logistics
  • File documents with Texas state and federal courts, including e-filing through systems such as Tyler Technologies / eFileTexas

Medical Records & Damages

  • Request, obtain, and review medical records, bills, and liens from providers and hospitals
  • Build and maintain detailed medical chronologies and damages summaries
  • Coordinate with medical providers and lien holders regarding outstanding balances and reductions
  • Calculate and track special damages including medical expenses, lost wages, and future care costs
