Job Description
We’re seeking a detail-obsessed Podcast QA Specialist to be the final checkpoint before our episodes go live. You’ll ensure every podcast is polished, seamless, and ready for publication — acting as the last line of defense for audio and video quality.
What You’ll Do:
- Review multiple edited versions of podcast episodes (audio & video)
- Identify and flag technical issues such as:
- Harsh cuts or jump edits
- Audio gating issues, distortion, clipping, or unnatural silence
- Sync problems between audio and video
- Lighting, color, or visual inconsistencies
- Track and document all errors clearly across versions
- Provide structured, time-stamped feedback for editors
- Compare iterations to ensure corrections are implemented
- Ensure only near-final, clean versions move to final review
Key Traits:
- Maniacal attention to detail
- Highly focused and patient for long-form content review
- Process-driven and consistent
- Clear communicator — flagging issues without rewriting content
Success Looks Like:
- Catching 95%+ of technical/audio/visual issues before final review
- Reducing multiple review rounds
- Delivering clean, well-documented feedback that speeds up publishing
- Exceptional attention to detail (borderline obsessive in the best way)
- Strong English skills (spoken & written)
- Experience reviewing audio/video content (podcasts, YouTube, media production, etc.)
- Ability to spot subtle inconsistencies in sound, visuals, and pacing
- Organized approach to tracking feedback across versions
- Comfortable working independently and upholding high standards
Nice to Have:
- Background in video editing, audio engineering, or post-production
- Familiarity with tools like Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Descript, etc.
- Experience with content teams or production
