Through innovative thinking, we strive to make a difference for ourselves, our teams, our clients and our community across New Zealand, Australia and the UK. The ClearPoint culture At ClearPoint, we're proud of the culture we've built - collaborative, curious, and high-performing. Our values aren't just words: Respect and Care for People Act with Integrity Earn and Nurture Trust You'll work with sharp, passionate people who take ownership, raise the bar, and genuinely enjoy what they do. Based out of Auckland, you'll be part of a team that invests in your growth and makes space for you to shine. The role ClearPoint is on the hunt for a senior advisory leader to join our team as a permanent Principal Consultant, as we kick off several major new engagements across New Zealand and Australia. You will be the bridge between technical depth and strategic narrative, a key driver in helping our clients navigate complex digital shifts - whether that involves framing strategic roadmaps for engineering leadership or developing target state architectures for large-scale ecosystems. We work across a vast range of modern platforms, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise SaaS ecosystems. We are looking for a Professional Services practitioner who can operate at a strategic level regardless of the specific stack, bringing strong integration architecture and data migration fundamentals to every engagement. Our main hub is in Auckland and we live and breathe flexibility - so whether full-time or part-time hours suit you better, we are keen to chat about what works. A degree of flexibility around occasional work-related travel is also part of the picture. The experience we're looking for A proven track record in technology strategy engagements, architectural leadership, or managing RFP processes for platform selection. Proven expertise in client delivery management and operations - particularly in designing, building and deploying digital engineering solutions. The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business-level guidance for executive and board audiences. Experience across major enterprise ecosystems with strong integration architecture and data migration fundamentals. A track record of enabling high-performance software delivery across teams and organisations. Confident facilitation of discovery sessions and synthesis workshops. A background in providing technical foundations for business cases and evaluation frameworks. Strong experience in scope management and prioritisation, with a clear focus on "what to build" to deliver value. AI and agentic coding fluency - you're already using tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude in your day-to-day work, with a practical view on where Generative AI delivers real value and where the hype outpaces the reality. What you'll be doing Leading business and product discovery and synthesising findings into actionable roadmap narratives. Developing conceptual target state architectures and providing buy, build, refactor, or retain recommendations. Co-owning deliverables with other project key members, maintaining a clear line between our advisory mahi and client-side activities such as commercial negotiations and change management. Managing engagement quality across scope, risk, and delivery. Providing strategic and technical advisory input aligned with client investment goals and board governance. What Makes an Ideal Candidate? We're looking for a forward-thinking Principal Consultant who embodies the ClearPoint spirit - someone creative, curious, and unafraid to explore new possibilities. You'll bring a growth mindset and a natural enthusiasm for solving complex problems, thriving in an environment that values both innovation and rigour. You take real ownership of outcomes, keeping clients at the heart of what you do, and take pride in delivering solutions that make a tangible impact. Professional, adaptable, and resilient, you're someone others can rely on - a trusted expert who brings energy, quality, and insight to every challenge, and whose values align naturally with ClearPoint's culture. Your Toolkit for Success Our ideal candidate is a forward-thinking senior practitioner who blends technical depth with consulting craft. Comfort across CI/CD tooling - GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins or similar. Agile delivery at scale - SCRUM, FDD, TDD, BDD - and a feel for continuous design–build–deploy. Familiarity with the DORA framework and its associated capabilities for measuring delivery performance. A history of strategic digital reviews - technical due diligence, DevOps assessments, and target-state roadmapping. Exposure to large-scale digital transformation across culture, ways of working and technology, with a growth lens on client relationships. Leadership and consulting competencies: Commercial awareness - comfortable with financials, day rates, margins and mark-ups. People leadership - motivating, coaching and supporting teams. Consulting craft - sharp assessment, synthesis, recommendations and crisp report writing, with strong attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset. Confident communicator across technical and non-technical audiences, in both formal and informal settings. Comfortable breaking down complex requirements into manageable actions and solutions. Able to manage multiple competing priorities in high-intensity, fast-paced environments. Works effectively as both a team player and a self-motivated, self-managing individual.
