Job Description
  • This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Manager, CMS Integrations in United States. This role sits at the core of healthcare interoperability and federal systems connectivity, driving how a leading payer platform integrates with critical CMS systems and regulatory infrastructure. You will define and own the integration strategy that enables seamless, compliant, and scalable data exchange across CMS platforms, third-party systems, and internal payer operations. The position blends product leadership with deep technical fluency in APIs, FHIR standards, and healthcare data exchange frameworks. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, implementation, and compliance teams to ensure integrations are production-ready, certified, and aligned with evolving federal requirements. This is a highly strategic role with direct impact on regulatory compliance, client onboarding efficiency, and system reliability at scale. You will operate in a fast-moving environment where healthcare policy, technical standards, and product innovation intersect.
  • Accountabilities: Own the end-to-end CMS integration product strategy, including roadmap definition, prioritization, and long-term vision across federal systems and payer connectivity. Maintain and evolve the CMS integration catalog, tracking certification status, technical specifications, and integration lifecycle across all systems. Define API design standards, including RESTful contracts, authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, SMART on FHIR), versioning, and lifecycle governance. Translate CMS regulatory updates and federal interoperability mandates into actionable product and engineering requirements. Lead the design of reusable integration frameworks and connectors to streamline onboarding and reduce customization needs for health plan clients. Define and manage FHIR-based interoperability requirements, ensuring compliance with CMS Interoperability Final Rule and related implementation guides. Oversee EDI and batch integration requirements across CMS systems, including claims, enrollment, provider data, and reporting workflows. Partner with engineering and QA to define certification, testing, monitoring, and observability standards for all integrations. Support CMS certification efforts, ensuring ongoing compliance with federal standards and ONC requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally to improve integration onboarding, documentation, and client implementation experiences. Requirements: 5+ years of product management experience in healthcare IT, payer systems, or federal healthcare integrations. Strong hands-on experience with CMS systems such as CMS Data Services Hub, MARx, HPMS, PECOS, or related federal platforms. Deep knowledge of FHIR R4, US Core standards, and Da Vinci Implementation Guides (PDex, PAS, CRD, DTR). Solid understanding of HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets and CMS batch data exchange processes. Experience defining API products, including RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0 / SMART on FHIR authentication, and versioning strategies. Ability to translate complex regulatory and technical CMS documentation into structured product requirements. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating closely with engineering and architecture teams. Familiarity with integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway) is a plus. Background in healthcare payer systems, interoperability, or regulatory compliance strongly preferred. Benefits: Competitive annual salary range of $132,000 – $141,000. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage. 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions. Remote-first work environment across the United States. Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements. Professional development opportunities in healthcare technology and interoperability. Exposure to high-impact federal healthcare integration programs. Inclusive and collaborative culture focused on innovation and regulatory excellence.
