We are seeking a highly experienced IT Project Manager to join our team and lead the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives within the energy sector. This role is ideally suited to a project professional with strong Oil & Gas industry experience, a proven track record of delivering both applications and infrastructure projects, and experience working within complex business environments undergoing transformation, integration, or merger and acquisition (M&A) activities.

Working with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external suppliers, you will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving strategic technology change across a diverse and evolving IT landscape.

The successful candidate will bring exceptional leadership, governance, stakeholder management, and project controls expertise, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams while effectively managing scope, budget, risks, resources, and delivery outcomes.

  • Strong experience of planning and managing multiple projects in an IT infrastructure or application environment.
  • Experience of working within the oil and gas industry
  • Basic understanding of Project Online
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and explain the project goals and objectives to the project team and stakeholders
  • Good business acumen, including industry and domain-specific knowledge of the organisation and its business units.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and innovation, and how other organisations are using them to drive digital business
  • Good project planning and execution on skills
  • Ability to develop projects and deliver them against financial and resource constraints
  • Proven track record with the use of reporting tools to monitor project activities and analyse project performance
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles including Waterfall or Agile
  • Qualification in one of the following project delivery methodology or frameworks and experience of others, such as:

PMI standards, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
