Job Description
Role Summary
We are looking for Internship candidates to support solid state transformer production. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of the Quality Management System to enable high-quality products and commercialization. You will partner with design, supply chain and manufacturing to develop Amperesand’s quality processes.
The Quality Engineering Intern is a professional problem solver who can learn and make good use of quality techniques to solve product issues and develop reliable processes that prevent the creation of defects.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of FMEAs (Design & Process) to identify and address critical risks.
- Identification of critical requirements to ensure proper supplier and production focus on critical needs.
- Development of manufacturing process and instructions to control and assure the quality in process.
- Support quality validation of production processes and incoming parts.
- Support root cause, corrective actions and characterization studies. Use of lean methodologies, hypothesis testing, design of experiments, etc.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
- Development of processes to meet the ISO9001 standard.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or other related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills, including knowledge in statistical SW and databases.
- Evidence of bringing assignments to a successful completion.
- Ability to multitask effectively within a team environment in managing priorities.
- ASQ or Six Sigma certification are preferred.
- Prior internship experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
Please note: This role requires working on-site 5 days a week. We do not offer hybrid or remote options.
Compensation: Up to $50/hour
