The Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team are the business partners that work tirelessly behind the scenes to make it happen. About the Role: As a Regional Maintenance Manager, you will transform workplace environments across multiple sites by leading regional maintenance operations and developing the next generation of maintenance leaders. In this critical role, you'll oversee Maintenance Managers and their teams across multiple sites within your region, develop strategic maintenance programs, and drive operational excellence across your regional footprint. You will blend strategic planning, financial management, and leadership development while navigating between managing preventative maintenance programs, coordinating with operations teams across multiple locations, and responding to emergencies that require quick, decisive action. You'll balance proactive planning with real-time problem resolution while fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement across your entire regional organization. Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to: • You will provide leadership and mentorship to Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Managers across your region, fostering professional growth, performance excellence, and developing bar-raising talent across your regional maintenance organization • You will develop and maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, manage regional budgets and capital spending plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while maximizing equipment uptime and operational efficiency across all sites • You will ensure rigorous adherence to safety protocols and procedures across all operational sites while partnering with site leadership to implement, audit, and enforce maintenance execution and safe work practices throughout your region • You will manage vendor relationships, coordinate external contractors, provide technical leadership on equipment end-of-life decisions using ROI analysis, and leverage Amazon's network size to maximize economies of scale across your regional network • You will travel domestically up to 80% of the time to provide frequent on-site monitoring, auditing, and enforcement of maintenance execution across your region, support network-level initiatives, and provide hands-on guidance to ensure consistent operational excellence at all locations
Basic Qualifications
  • - Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience - Work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays - 8+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience - 6+ years of industrial maintenance experience - 6+ years of leading multiple layer organizations experience - 6+ years of senior leadership development and talent management experience - 6+ years of managing department spend and labor budgets, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing continuous improvement (CI) experience - 6+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
