Responsibilities
  • Drive sales and business development for rugged mobile computers, handheld devices, tablets, and related enterprise mobility solutions throughout the U.S. market
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities, with a strong emphasis on new customer acquisition and market expansion
  • Build and maintain relationships with wireless carriers, enterprise customers, strategic partners, and other key stakeholders
  • Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans designed to grow revenue, market share, and profitability
Requirements
  • 7-10+ years of successful sales and/or business development experience, ideally within mobile computing, rugged devices, enterprise mobility, telecommunications, wireless, or a closely related technology market
  • Demonstrated success developing new customers and new revenue opportunities in a hunter-oriented sales environment
  • Experience selling into wireless carriers, enterprise organizations, private network environments, or similar complex customer environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of rugged handheld devices, tablets, mobile computing solutions, enterprise mobility, or related technologies strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of market positioning, competitive analysis, pricing strategy, and solution selling
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate opportunities based on revenue potential, profitability, competitive positioning, and long-term strategic value
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and executive communication skills
  • Self-directed and entrepreneurial, with the ability to operate successfully in a highly autonomous business development role
  • Proven ability to manage complex, solution-based sales cycles from initial prospecting through contract negotiation and close
  • Ability to translate customer requirements and market feedback into actionable recommendations for product and engineering teams
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, product management, engineering, product marketing, and executive leadership teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%, primarily to customer locations throughout the United States
  • Initial product and organizational training may require travel to California
