Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and cash management activities
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and identify business trends
- Prepare audit schedules and support external audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable regulations
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
- Participate in special projects and support organizational growth initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience managing month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Background working within a small, collaborative accounting team
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
