We are currently seeking a talented and driven Russian Speaking Digital Trust and Safety Agent to join a high-impact team based on-site in Sofia, Bulgaria, working within the fast-paced and ever-evolving social media industry. In this Russian Speaking Digital Trust and Safety Agent position in Bulgaria, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and quality of a leading social media platform used by millions of Russian-speaking users around the world. Key Responsibilities
- Review, assess, and action user-generated content on a social media platform in Russian language, ensuring strict compliance with community guidelines and platform policies.
- Identify and escalate harmful, abusive, or policy-violating content — including hate speech, misinformation, graphic material, and spam — in a timely and accurate manner.
- Investigate user reports and appeals related to accounts, posts, and interactions across the social media platform, delivering fair and well-reasoned outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional trust and safety teams to develop a deeper understanding of evolving digital threats, trends, and platform risks in the social media landscape.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of content decisions and escalations in accordance with internal quality standards and audit requirements.
- Participate actively in regular calibration sessions, team briefings, and training programmes to ensure consistent application of trust and safety policies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of content moderation processes by sharing insights and feedback with team leaders and quality assurance specialists.
- Support the development of a safer, more inclusive, and trustworthy social media environment for Russian-speaking communities worldwide.
- Native or fluent Russian language proficiency (both spoken and written) is essential for this role.
- Needs to have a valid EU passport.
- Previous experience in content moderation, trust and safety, customer support, or a related field within the social media or digital industry is highly advantageous.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and sound judgement when reviewing sensitive or complex content.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and consistency in decision-making.
- A high level of cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in relation to Russian-language social media communities and digital communication norms.
- Comfortable working with technology platforms and content management tools; proficiency in English is considered an asset.
