Job Description

Role: Sales Development Representative

Reports to: Head of Sales & Partnership

Location: Remote/Hybrid working (UK-based).

We are currently a remote-first organisation, but hybrid working may be an option in the future.

Salary: Up to £31k depending on experience, plus equity

Hours: Full-Time 37.5 hours per week

What success looks like in year one

You're consistently booking high-quality meetings for the Equity Consultant team. Your outreach stands out, it's personalised, well-researched, and converts. 

You've become someone the sales team relies on to keep the top of the funnel sharp, and you're already thinking about what comes next. 

What you’ll own

  • Identify, research and engage prospective customers: Founders and senior stakeholders at growing businesses, through calls, email, LinkedIn and video
  • Qualify leads and hand them over to Equity Consultants in a way that sets every conversation up to succeed
  • Re-engage lapsed and dormant leads with relevant, timely outreach
  • Support upgrade and expansion opportunities within the existing customer base
  • Keep HubSpot accurate and up to date, your data discipline makes the whole team sharper
  • Feed insights and market signals back to marketing and sales, so strategy stays grounded in real conversations

The role

We are looking for individuals who are not only passionate about our mission but also comfortable and confident using cutting-edge technologies and AI tools to streamline processes, drive innovation, and contribute to the growth of Vestd.

Essential elements for this role

We cannot provide an exhaustive list of duties; additional duties may arise, but these will be core elements of this role.

  • Has done this before - SDR, BDR or similar in a B2B environment
  • Strong communicator across channels, especially written outreach that actually gets opened
  • Genuinely curious, researches a business before reaching out, not after
  • High EQ, comfortable building credibility with founders and senior stakeholders from the first conversation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You must be comfortable with working in a fully remote environment

Nice to have

These will help you stand out from the pack:

  • Experience in fintech, SaaS, or a regulated product
  • Startup or scaleup background
  • Familiarity with shares, share schemes or equity
  • HubSpot or similar CRM experience
