Job Description
Job Title: Scheduling and Authorizations Specialist
Location: South Africa
Job Type: Full-Time, Remote (US Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM EST)
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage scheduling for client appointments, assessments, and services efficiently.
- Request and obtain prior authorizations from insurance providers to ensure timely patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to scheduling and authorization processes within electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve any issues regarding scheduling or authorizations.
- Monitor authorization statuses and follow up on pending requests to prevent delays.
- Assist in process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and compliance with payer requirements.
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare scheduling and authorization roles.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience with Waystar, Central Reach, or similar platforms is a plus.
