About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a small, high-impact accounting team. This role requires a self-starter who takes full ownership of their areas, operates with minimal supervision, and proactively identifies and resolves issues. You will play a critical role in the monthly close, financial accuracy, and continuous improvement of accounting processes. The ideal candidate is comfortable handling complex transactions, working in NetSuite, supporting system implementations, and partnering cross-functionally with FP&A.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of assigned accounting areas, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness Establish clear goals, KPIs, and expectations aligned with company financial objectives.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including complex and non-routine transactions.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Execute and help drive the month-end close process in a fast-paced environment.
- Review and analyze financial statements, identifying errors, inconsistencies, or unusual trends and ensuring corrections are made
- Apply capitalization policies, including fixed asset tracking and proper expense vs. capitalization treatment
- Support or lead ERP system implementations, enhancements, and NetSuite optimization
- Maintain and improve accounting workflows to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure financial information complies with professional and regulatory standards
- Partner with FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation, ensuring audit readiness
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, including fixed assets and reserves
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP systems)
- Experience with system implementations or ERP enhancements
- Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and implement solutions
- Advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
