Job Description
  • This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Director, Global HEOR in United States. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) leader to drive global evidence generation strategies within the rare disease and biopharmaceutical space. In this role, you will shape and execute HEOR initiatives across both pipeline and commercialized therapies, directly supporting clinical development, reimbursement, and market access strategies worldwide. You will collaborate cross-functionally with medical, clinical, commercial, epidemiology, and market access teams to influence strategic decision-making and improve patient outcomes on a global scale. The position offers a highly collaborative and mission-driven environment where innovation, scientific rigor, and patient impact are central to success. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and enjoys translating evidence into meaningful healthcare decisions. With remote flexibility and strong professional development support, this opportunity offers both purpose and long-term career growth.
  • Accountabilities: Lead the development and execution of global HEOR strategies across pipeline and marketed programs to support clinical development, reimbursement, and market access objectives. Design, implement, and oversee HEOR studies, including cost-effectiveness models, budget impact analyses, burden-of-illness studies, retrospective analyses, and indirect treatment comparisons. Partner cross-functionally with clinical development, medical affairs, market access, epidemiology, commercial, and biostatistics teams to align evidence generation strategies and key HEOR deliverables. Identify evidence gaps and develop innovative data generation plans to support reimbursement and access across global markets including the US, EMEA, LATAM, Canada, and APAC regions. Provide strategic HEOR guidance and scientific input for clinical programs, integrated evidence plans, regulatory documents, and reimbursement submissions. Act as an internal HEOR subject matter expert, influencing decision-making and leading collaborative research partnerships from study conception through publication and presentation. Represent the organization at scientific congresses, professional forums, and external stakeholder meetings related to health economics and outcomes research. Support global market access initiatives through robust evidence generation and strategic insights focused on rare diseases and advanced therapies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Pharmacy, or a related field required. Advanced degree strongly preferred (PharmD, PhD, MD, MA/MS, or equivalent in relevant scientific or health economics disciplines). 12+ years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry, with substantial expertise in HEOR and outcomes research. Strong experience in evidence generation activities, including economic modeling, study design, clinical trial support, literature synthesis, data management, and statistical analysis. Demonstrated expertise working across global and cross-functional teams in areas such as clinical development, medical strategy, market access, epidemiology, and commercial operations. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders. Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority. Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, including scientific presentation and publication experience. Experience in gene therapy, rare disease, and global HEOR environments strongly preferred. Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple programs and priorities simultaneously. Willingness to travel approximately 10–25% as needed. Benefits: Competitive salary range of $254,200 – $314,000 annually depending on experience and location. Eligibility for annual bonus programs and equity incentives. Remote work flexibility with occasional travel as needed. Generous paid vacation and company-recognized holidays. Volunteer days and employee wellbeing initiatives. Long-term incentive programs and employee stock purchase opportunities. Fitness reimbursement and wellness-focused benefits. Tuition sponsorship and professional development support. Inclusive and collaborative work culture focused on learning, growth, and meaningful patient impact. Comprehensive benefits package that may vary by region and country.
