Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, New Product Development (AI) based in the United States. This is a senior product leadership role at the intersection of artificial intelligence, legal knowledge systems, and rapid product innovation. You will be responsible for turning high-potential AI concepts into production-ready digital products that support legal professionals and knowledge-driven workflows. The role blends strategic product vision with hands-on execution, requiring deep fluency in generative AI, LLM orchestration, and modern low-code/no-code development environments. You will lead the creation of fast, iterative MVP cycles while ensuring accuracy, governance, and trust in highly sensitive legal contexts. Operating in a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment, you will work across innovation, product, and technical teams to shape the future of AI-powered legal education and tools. This is a high-velocity role for a builder who can move from concept to working product in weeks, not months, while maintaining rigorous standards of quality and compliance.
  • Accountabilities: Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of AI-native products, building MVPs and scalable solutions using generative AI, LLM orchestration, and low-code/no-code platforms. Establish and operationalize a rapid prototyping environment (“Rapid MVP Lab”) to accelerate experimentation, validation, and deployment of AI-driven product ideas. Translate early-stage innovation concepts into production-ready applications, ensuring alignment with product strategy and user needs. Partner closely with product management and innovation teams to define roadmaps, evaluate model selection (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, open-source), and shape go-to-market execution. Ensure all AI-driven products meet strict standards for legal accuracy, ethical use, data governance, and regulatory compliance. Oversee AI cost efficiency, API usage optimization, and scalability considerations across all products. Define architectural direction across AI systems, ensuring modular, connected product experiences that solve complex professional workflows. Drive rapid iteration cycles, prioritizing functional AI-enabled products over long development timelines. Requirements 8+ years of experience in digital product leadership, with strong recent focus on generative AI implementation and AI-powered product development. Deep expertise across the AI development lifecycle, including prompt engineering, RAG systems, API orchestration, and model integration. Proven experience building products using low-code/no-code platforms and AI-assisted development tools. Strong ability to rapidly prototype and launch AI-driven applications in fast iteration environments. Solid understanding of data privacy, intellectual property, and compliance considerations in AI-enabled products. Experience working in legal tech, edtech, or other knowledge-intensive professional domains is strongly preferred. Exceptional product thinking with the ability to connect technical architecture to user and business value. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across product, innovation, and technical stakeholders. High bias for execution, experimentation, and delivering working solutions over long planning cycles.
