The Senior Expert, Finance will play a key role in providing financial and commercial support for strategic business opportunities and existing client engagements. You will contribute to financial analysis, business performance evaluation, and commercial decision-making within an international business environment. The role involves assessing new business wins, reviewing financial performance against initial assumptions, and supporting competitive tendering processes. You will also be responsible for calculating quarterly commissions and ensuring financial accuracy across relevant activities. Working closely with commercial and business stakeholders, you will help identify performance trends and provide insights that support sustainable growth. - Accountabilities: Provide financial and commercial support for new business opportunities and retenders involving existing clients. Support commercial teams throughout the bidding and tendering process by providing relevant financial analysis and insights. Analyze newly secured business opportunities to assess actual performance against initial financial assumptions and agreed expectations. Ensure timely completion of financial reviews and performance analyses following new business wins. Identify variances between projected and actual financial results, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for improvement. Calculate and validate quarterly commission payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established processes. Prepare financial reports, performance summaries, and analytical insights to support business planning and commercial decisions. Collaborate with internal finance teams and commercial stakeholders to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of financial information. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting, commercial analysis, and commission calculation processes. Requirements: Relevant academic qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline. Significant experience in a finance, financial analysis, or commercial finance role. Strong understanding of financial performance analysis, budgeting assumptions, business profitability, and commercial support processes. Experience supporting new business opportunities, client tenders, contract renewals, or retendering activities is an advantage. Proven ability to analyze financial results and evaluate business performance against initial projections and assumptions. Experience calculating commissions, incentives, or other performance-related financial payments. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to financial accuracy. Ability to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and translate findings into actionable business insights. Proficiency in financial reporting tools and spreadsheet applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with finance and commercial teams.
