This role offers the opportunity to join a high-impact engineering team building a real-time, high-performance blockchain-based prediction market platform designed for ultra-low-latency environments. You will play a foundational role in shaping backend architecture powering live, high-concurrency systems integrated with Solana and real-time streaming interfaces. The environment is fast-moving, product-driven, and highly autonomous, with direct collaboration with founders and early engineering leadership. You will design and operate core systems responsible for market creation, settlement, and automated payouts under extreme traffic conditions. This position requires strong ownership, deep systems thinking, and the ability to build resilient infrastructure from the ground up. • Accountabilities In this role, you will take full ownership of core backend systems powering a real-time prediction market platform, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability across high-throughput and low-latency environments. You will design and evolve backend architecture while contributing directly to system implementation and operational excellence. Design, build, and maintain low-latency Golang services supporting real-time prediction market functionality Own backend systems including market creation, settlement, payout processing, and blockchain state integration Architect scalable distributed systems capable of handling bursty, high-concurrency traffic patterns Improve system reliability through enhanced caching, indexing, database design, and service architecture Implement robust observability practices including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and production debugging Participate in incident response, uptime management, and performance tuning of production systems Collaborate closely with founders and product teams to define architecture and technical direction Proactively propose system and product improvements, contributing to long-term engineering standards Requirements The ideal candidate brings deep Golang expertise and strong experience building distributed, low-latency systems at scale. You are comfortable operating in high-autonomy environments and have a strong foundation in backend architecture, production systems, and performance optimization.
