Job Description

• ELEKS Software Engineering & Development Office is looking for a Senior Java/AI Developer based in Buenos Aires for a hybrid position: 2–3 days per week onsite at our local office, with the remaining days remote. Working hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00/7:00 PM ART ABOUT PROJECT The client is among the top-5 health insurance companies in the US. • REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of professional experience in Java and/or Python Hands-on experience working with LLMs (integration, evaluation, or architecture) Practical experience with prompt engineering Understanding of API design and backend service development
• Nice to Have Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures Experience with vector databases and embeddings Cloud AI services experience (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, etc.) MLOps or LLMOps exposure
• RESPONSIBILITIES Design and build AI-powered features and services using LLMs Develop and maintain backend components in Java and/or Python Implement prompt engineering strategies and evaluate model outputs Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing applications Stay current with emerging LLM tooling, frameworks, and best practices Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery practices
