Job Description
About the Role
Join a clinical AI team building a compiler that turns healthcare standards into structured, executable decision logic. This research role combines experimentation with production engineering, helping make clinical recommendations traceable, complete, and reliable.
What You'll Do
Build a pipeline for converting clinical standards into executable modules using document and layout models, transformation, and validation.
Design and refine representations for clinical guideline logic.
Evaluate open and closed models, fine-tuning approaches, and constrained decoding techniques.
Develop datasets, metrics, benchmarks, and adversarial cases to measure clinical fidelity and recommendation correctness.
Analyze model failures and turn findings into experiments and improvements to the production compiler.
Build deterministic validators using static analysis, constraint solving, or formal methods to identify ambiguity, contradictions, and missing source support.
Work with clinicians and technical collaborators to validate system outputs.
What We're Looking For
Three or more years of relevant experience, with a background in clinical AI or machine learning.
Prior experience working at or directly with a frontier AI or machine learning lab.
Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch, Transformers, and large language models.
Experience with static analysis, SMT or SAT solvers, or formal methods.
Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR or HL7 v2.
Interest in rigorous evaluation and making the logic behind clinical decisions inspectable.
