Job Description

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior People Business Partner to help leaders build high-performing, engaged, and inclusive teams. This role is equal parts strategic advisor, coach, and problem solver — partnering closely with leaders to navigate growth, organizational change, employee relations, and talent development. You’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience and helping the business scale thoughtfully and effectively.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Partner with leaders to align People strategies with team and business goals
  • Coach managers through performance conversations, feedback, development, and team dynamics
  • Lead complex employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution efforts
  • Drive initiatives focused on engagement, retention, culture, and organizational effectiveness
  • Use people data and trends to identify opportunities and guide decision-making
  • Support change management efforts across evolving teams and business priorities
  • Partner cross-functionally on learning and development initiatives that support career growth
  • Help ensure People practices remain compliant, fair, and aligned with company values

About You

  • 10+ years of HR experience, including business partnership and employee relations work
  • Strong experience handling complex employee relations issues and workplace investigations
  • Skilled at building trust and influencing leaders across multiple levels of an organization
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with shifting priorities
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience driving organizational change and implementing People programs or processes
  • Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices

Bonus Points

  • Master’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar HR certification
  • Experience supporting high-growth or rapidly changing organizations
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using HR metrics to inform strategy

Salary: $165,000 to $195,000*

*Please note that the final salary offered will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills, and experience, as well as the internal salary structure at Quanata. Our aim is to offer a competitive and equitable compensation package that reflects the candidate's expertise and contributions to our organization.

  • Paid Time Off: All employees accrue four weeks of PTO in their first year of employment.  New parents receive twelve weeks of fully paid parental leave which may be taken within one year after the birth and/or adoption of a child. The twelve weeks is applicable to both birthing and non-birthing parent.

  • Location: We are a remote-first company for most positions so you may work from anywhere you like in the U.S, excluding U.S. territories. For most positions, occasional travel may be requested or encouraged but is not required. Some positions might require travel per the job description provided to the employee. Employees based in the San Francisco Bay Area or in Providence, Rhode Island may commute to one of our local offices as desired.  
  • Hours: We maintain core meeting hours from 9AM - 2PM Pacific time for collaborating with team members across all time zones.
