You will sit at the intersection of backend engineering, machine learning, and product development, translating cutting-edge AI capabilities into reliable, production-grade systems. The position focuses on designing APIs, services, and data infrastructure that connect LLMs and ML models to real-world applications. You will collaborate closely with ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver seamless end-to-end features. • Accountabilities You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend systems that enable AI-powered features at scale, ensuring performance, reliability, and extensibility across services. Design and develop APIs and backend services supporting AI-driven product functionality Integrate LLMs and machine learning models into production-grade systems and workflows Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for training, inference, evaluation, and analytics Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions Improve system performance, scalability, observability, and reliability across distributed services Debug complex production issues and lead root cause analysis and resolution efforts Contribute to engineering standards, architecture decisions, and code quality improvements Participate in experimentation and feedback loops to continuously improve model and product performance Requirements The ideal candidate brings strong backend engineering expertise combined with hands-on experience in AI-enabled systems and a product-oriented mindset. 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade systems Experience designing APIs and service-oriented or distributed architectures Hands-on experience with ML/AI systems in production (LLMs, ranking, recommendations, or similar) Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and data-intensive system design Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes Strong ability to operate in ambiguous environments and take ownership of complex problems Product mindset focused on delivering measurable user and business impact Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, ML, and product teams Benefits Competitive base salary ranging from 200,000 to 225,000 USD, based on experience and location Equity through stock options Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Flexible PTO and company holidays Fully remote work within the United States Periodic offsites and team gatherings to foster collaboration Transparent and competitive compensation philosophy
