Basic Qualifications
- - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design - Experience in professional, non-internship software development - Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems - Experience in development in the last 3 years
Preferred Qualifications
- - Master's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations - Experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems - Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP - Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS - Experience with large-scale technical operations or large-scale computer farms - Strong programming skills, preferably in Rust, C, or Java with 3+ years experience - Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems, or experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
