About our company
Triptease. We are a disruptive force in the tech space for online travel. Never one to shy from big challenges, we built our reputation on empowering hotels to stand up to the might of Online Travel Agents.
We are uniquely positioned to help hotels in their greatest time of need. The world class data set we've been building, combined with a new set of digital marketing tools, has positioned us to accelerate our impact to hoteliers.
With offices in London, NYC, Barcelona and Singapore, we drive over £1bn in revenue for hoteliers around the globe. As we gear up for our next stage of growth, now is an ideal time to join our fast-growing and well funded technology business.
Inclusion is how we unleash the power of diversity. It is how we build our teams, cultivate our leaders and ensure Triptease is the right fit for every person. Come join us on our journey and be comfortable bringing your authentic self to work. Be you!
The Team
- You will be working in a small squad of between 2 and 6 people responsible for building, growing and maintaining different parts of the Triptease stack.
- We have both frontend and backend components, with a lean towards backend.
- All our teams are small, empowered and autonomous: we own the strategy and actions we need to take to be successful.
- We embrace honest and open discussion. We truly value collaboration and are invested in maintaining a team that encourages everyone to contribute.
- We run daily standups, weekly planning and frequent retros and feedback sessions.
- We embrace pair programming the vast majority of the time.
- We practise trunk-based development and continuous delivery.
- At the end of each week, we join the rest of the company to showcase what we've accomplished and share our pride in the work we have done with our colleagues.
The Tech Stack
TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Mongo, Google Cloud Run / Kubernetes, BigQuery, Pub/Sub. We build with coding agents as part of everyday work. All squads use a similar stack, which is great for building up expertise and having other engineers to support you.

- You build with coding agents in your day-to-day work and can explain how: what you hand to the agent, what you keep, and how you check the output.
- You verify by system, not trust. Tests come first, you review by risk, and you catch output that looks right but isn't. When something slips through, you fix the spec, tests or rules so it's caught next time.
- You've led substantial pieces of work end to end, more than once, and they were plainly yours.
- You lead technical decisions: you propose the approach, set out the trade-offs and bring the team with you.
- You've shared a way of working with agents that your team now uses, such as skills, guardrails or specs.
- You're collaborative, open-minded and comfortable pairing all day.
- Experience building distributed, high availability, high throughput systems that keep data consistent.
- You're proud of the code you ship and leave it better than you found it, whoever wrote the first draft.
- Tests are integral to how you build, and you use them to drive design.
- You're comfortable from client side to server side, with a lean towards back end.
- You love shipping and seeing how it performs in production: delivery pipelines, A/B testing and monitoring.
- You're customer-centric, work well with product managers, and spot the product decisions an agent would otherwise make by default.
Bonus points
- Public Git repos that show how you build with agents, such as agent rules, skills, specs or the harness you work in.
- You've thought about building for agentic clients, such as MCP servers and APIs.
- You have an entrepreneurial streak, with some great examples of how you saw an opportunity and made it happen.
- You have experience in several programming languages and value bringing ideas from other ecosystems into your current environment.
