Job Description

Who We Are

We are a fast-growing vertical SaaS company leveraging innovation and disruptive technologies to improve consumer experiences, outcomes, and predictability within the plastic surgery industry. Our team thrives on challenges, embraces change, and is dedicated to transforming how the industry operates.

Our platform is what aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery practices run their business on, covering scheduling, clinical records, forms and consents, invoicing and payments, patient communications, and the marketing that sits in front of all of it. It is a multi-tenant platform holding millions of patient records under HIPAA and GDPR, and we onboard new practices every month.

While we are a remote-first company, we are currently only able to hire candidates located in the following U.S. states: CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MN, OK, OR, PA, RI, TX, UT, and WA. We hope to expand to additional states in the future.

Who We’re Looking For

We are builders, and our managers build too. Leaders here write code, ship pull requests and review their team’s work every week, all the way up to the Head of Engineering. A manager owns a team’s outcomes from the first conversation to production: what ships, how well it works, and how the people who build it grow.

We build with AI as the default, and our managers lead it by doing it. You stay current on how the best teams engineer with AI, try new tools and practices in your own work first, and bring to your team the ones that earn their place.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager you lead a product engineering team that works directly on the workflows our clinics run every day. You hire, coach and level engineers against a published bar, and you turn product intent into a plan the team believes in. You also take real work in the codebase: features, fixes and the hard reviews. Senior engineers follow you because they have seen your code.

Responsibilities

Leading the team

  • Lead a team of software engineers across time zones: one-on-ones, feedback, growth plans and performance conversations, held to the same bar for everyone.
  • Hire for the team and shape the hiring bar with the Head of Engineering.
  • Make quality the whole team’s job: reviews that teach, tests that mean something, and production behaviour the team watches as closely as its tickets.

Delivery

  • Own the team’s delivery from problem to production, including planning, estimation, risk and release readiness.
  • Partner with product management to shape work before it starts, so stories arrive clear and the team builds the right thing the first time.
  • Lead incident response for your team’s systems and make sure every incident leaves the platform safer than it found it.

Building with AI, and leading by example

  • Ship code yourself every week: features, fixes and improvements to the team’s tooling, built with coding agents.
  • Review the team’s pull requests and teach through them, holding AI-drafted work to the same bar as any other.
  • Stay current on AI engineering practice, test new tools and workflows in your own work, and roll out what proves itself to your team and across the organization.
  • Grow the engineers who will lead after you.
Who We AreWe are a fast-growing vertical SaaS company leveraging innovation and disruptive technologies to improve consumer experiences, outcomes, and predictability within the plastic surgery industry. Our team thrives on challenges, embraces change, ...
  • 8+ years building production software, including 3+ years managing software engineers directly, with responsibility for hiring and performance.
  • You still write and ship production code as a manager, with C# and .NET experience.
  • Angular, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes and AWS are a strong plus.
  • Daily use of coding agents in your own engineering work, and experience rolling AI engineering practices out to a team.
  • Teams that built or operated systems under HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2 or comparable regulation.
  • Experience leading distributed teams across time zones.
  • Written and spoken communication that works across time zones and with colleagues whose first language is not English. (Most of our engineers are in Latin America.)
