This role sits at the intersection of cloud technology, FinOps strategy, and enterprise sales, supporting customers in understanding and optimizing complex technology spend. You will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the pre-sales cycle, translating business and financial challenges into scalable cloud cost optimization solutions. Working closely with Sales, Partners, and internal product teams, you will design architectures, deliver impactful demonstrations, and guide Proofs of Concept focused on Kubernetes and container cost efficiency. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, requiring both deep technical expertise and strong customer-facing communication skills. Your work will directly influence how enterprises control cloud spending, improve governance, and achieve measurable FinOps outcomes. This is a high-impact role where technical depth meets strategic business value.
  • Accountabilities: In this role, you will serve as a key technical partner in the sales process, helping customers adopt FinOps and cloud optimization solutions that drive real business value: Partner with sales teams to analyze customer challenges in cloud usage, financial operations, and infrastructure efficiency, aligning solutions to FinOps objectives. Lead technical pre-sales engagements including discovery sessions, solution architecture design, demonstrations, and value-based solution positioning. Design and deliver Proofs of Concept (PoC) and Proofs of Value (PoV), with a strong focus on Kubernetes and container workload optimization. Act as the technical authority during sales cycles, contributing to deal strategy and supporting RFI/RFP/RFQ responses. Demonstrate cloud cost optimization capabilities across allocation, governance, budgeting, forecasting, and commitment management. Support enterprise and partner-led engagements, ensuring consistent technical messaging and solution alignment. Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and improve solution capabilities. Requirements The ideal candidate brings strong pre-sales experience combined with deep knowledge of cloud platforms and FinOps practices, along with a customer-focused, consultative mindset: 3+ years of experience in Solution Engineering, Pre-Sales, or a similar technical customer-facing role. 2+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud optimization is highly preferred. Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform. Proven expertise working with Kubernetes and containerized environments; experience with Ocean or similar tools is a plus. Understanding of FinOps principles including cost allocation, optimization, forecasting, and governance. Experience supporting enterprise customers and working in complex sales cycles; exposure to partners or public sector is beneficial. Familiarity with value-based selling methodologies (MEDDPICC is a plus). Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value. Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
